How to Choose the Right Lash Style for Your Eye Shape
One of the biggest misconceptions about lash extensions is that you have to come in knowing exactly what you want.
You don’t.
In fact, most people who ask for a specific “style” are really just trying to describe a feeling:
More lifted
More open
More defined
The actual mapping comes after.
Your eye shape plays a huge role in how a set will look on you. The same style can look completely different from one person to the next.
Things I look at before creating a set:
Eye width and spacing
Lid space
Natural lash direction
Overall facial balance
From there, we build something that enhances—not overwhelms.
This is especially important with textured and wispy sets, where placement matters more than density.
At The Haute Loft, I treat every set as a custom design rather than a template.
Because the goal isn’t to recreate a photo—it’s to create something that actually works on you.
(If you’re a lash artist, this is one of the biggest skill gaps I see. Styling is what separates beginner work from advanced artistry—and it’s something I break down step-by-step in my trainings.)
